Main contractor for a Local Full Fibre Network project with full CDM and project responsibilities. 20km of duct network was installed, programmed across the duration, with close co-ordination with Blackpool council highways team.
Interfacing to the tram SCADA ducting from Starr gate to Fleetwood rolled out across an 18 month program. 100+ “meet me” fibre marshalling chambers were installed across the project. Interface connections were included to BT exchanges and new digital fibre exchanges, providing dark fibre services.
A connection was also included to interface to a sub-sea trans-Atlantic cable landing station. Over 60km of 144 / 96 / 48 core fibre cable was installed. The project required comprehensive as fitted documentation including CAD duct route drawings, cable schedules, labelling schematics, and OTDR / ILM test results.
