Core Integrated has carried out works at over 30 prisons, ranging from Young Offenders to Category A facilities. Whilst every site is specified to home office criteria, each was unique, including modern new-build facilities to the stereotypical Victorian institution. The extent of network installation varied significantly by site, such as:
- From modest fibre only works to full turnkey installation.
- Civil works including ducting, column supply and installation.
- Network cabling and switches.
- Network design configuration and commission.
- Associated electrical works.
This has given the integrator a ready-to-commission system. Enhanced SC clearance for our engineers was required for the projects. The number of sites, value and scope of works continues to grow as we continue our works in this sector. Our experience working in the custodial environment, with its restrictive nature and fragmented working regime, has given us and our clients the confidence in our ability to deliver services in these difficult facilities.
