Perimeter CCTV upgrade system
This project required infrastructure works to replace the existing aging analogue perimeter CCTV, including:
- Re-modelling the existing multimode infrastructure to support new high definition IP CCTV system
- Main and emergency back up control rooms with “failover” CISCO routing
- Supply, installation and configuration of CISCO hardware
Two challenges were identified and overcome. The first was utilising existing multimode fibre to support the bandwidth required by the HD cameras, which were over-length and required the creation of new nodes and spurs to overcome the issues. The second challenge was maintaining operation control rooms and avoiding downtime wherever possible.
